Advanced Dental Technology Helena
Smarter Tools for Carefully Planned Care
We believe that advanced technology leads to far better outcomes for our patients, which is why our office has a wide variety of advanced equipment. From digital imaging and impressions to nitrous oxide sedation, we’re able to diagnose more accurately, treat issues more comfortably, and plan procedures with exceptional accuracy.
CT/Cone Beam Scanner

Our CT/cone beam scanner can capture detailed 3D images of your teeth, jaw, and surrounding structures in just seconds. It’s especially valuable for planning dental implants, since it allows Dr. Al to precisely evaluate bone density, identify nerve locations, and determine optimal implant placement before treatment even begins.
Digital Smile Design

Digital smile design gives you the ability to see your new look before treatment even begins. Using special imaging software, Dr. Al can show you your expected results using a high-resolution image of your face, whether you’re considering dental implants, cosmetic work, or something else entirely. This means that you can feel more confident about your treatment plan and ensure the final outcome matches up with your personal goals.

Intraoral Camera

An intraoral camera is a small, pen-sized device that can capture highly detailed images inside your mouth that are displayed instantly on a chairside monitor. You'll be able to see exactly what Dr. Al sees, making it easier to understand any concerns and review treatment options, all while feeling more informed and involved in your care.
Digital Impression System

In the past, taking impressions required the use of putty material and had a large margin for error. Our digital impression system makes things much easier and far more comfortable, instead relying on a small, handheld scanner to capture precise, 3D images of your teeth and gums in minutes. This means better-looking and better-fitting restorations of all types.
Soft Tissue Laser

Our soft tissue laser can precisely and safely reshape gum tissue, minimize bleeding, and often reduce the overall healing period following many types of gum procedures. Better yet, many patients experience a much more comfortable recovery, as well as reduced post-op symptoms like swelling and soreness.
Nitrous Oxide

For patients who feel anxious about dental care, nitrous oxide offers a safe and effective way to feel at-ease during treatment. Often referred to as “laughing gas,” it’s inhaled through a small mask that goes over your nose, and it takes effect quickly, instilling feelings of warmth, relaxation, and even euphoria. Plus, its effects wear off shortly after treatment is over, allowing you to go about your normal daily routine!
